When I was young, my family used to have these amazing New Year's Eve parties at our house in the mountains. Everyone would come out, people we haven't seen for years. I remember these parties fondly.

Now, we don't live there anymore. We don't have parties like that. Sometimes I think what it would be like to walk around that house again, now barren and empty. I imagine getting a phone call, an old friend, as people begin pouring in that front door once again.
